Client case study: LUSH, Dorset
LUSH has spent the past three decades creating fun, cruelty-free cosmetics and bath products.
A couple of years ago, its Digital Ethics team booked Sarah to work with them at the LUSH head office in Poole, Dorset.
The campaign concept:
LUSH is a company that strives to do good business without exploiting people, planet or animals.
It’s through this commitment LUSH has built a reputation as a brand that stands for something.
With this in mind, the Digital Ethics team wanted to connect with its customers and communicate its values by highlighting the amount of electronic waste – known as ‘e-waste’ – being generated by the phone upgrade cycle.
Aim + Purpose:
The aim was to share information, reduce e-waste through automatic phone upgrades and inspire change within customers and legislators.
The campaign would be launched at the annual LUSH Showcase event as a three-stage immersive installation. The campaign’s key messaging and content would be then rolled out to stores across the UK.
The deliverables:
• Detailed preliminary research
• Campaign tagline
• Content strategy, including working with the social team
• Copywriting for the three stages of the installation (short and long form)
• Concepts for motion graphics, including briefing and feedback to design
• Proof reading, editing and art direction
The result:
A three-stage immersive installation highlighting the environmental impact of the seemingly never-ending smartphone upgrade cycle.
Plus POS content for use within UK LUSH stores.
The feedback:
“Sarah is an absolute dream to work with.
She is so multi-talented that there is no aspect to a project that I wouldn’t trust her to excel at.
I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking to work with her, while also secretly wanting to keep her for ourselves!”
